Northstar Community Service District Project Updates
The District's community projects are getting started and collectively will impact traffic, property access, water service and mail service.
Public Information regarding the projects’ construction schedules and scope is in the Current News panel on the home page of our website at www.northstarcsd.com.
Projects will be updated frequently on the District website throughout the summer for the following projects:
Northstar Drive Reconstruction and Overlay
Mail Box Site Renovation
Slurry Sealing
Water Meter Replacements
BEAR SEASON – BEAR WARNING
The bears in Northstar are very active and one bear in particular has become very aggressive, not hesitating to enter occupied homes.
Please take extra care in securing your home. Windows, crawl spaces, doors should be secured at all times during BEAR SEASON. Remember to never leave food outside or locked in your vehicles. Keep your BBQ's clean of food, don't feed your pets outside and put as much food down your garbage disposal and avoid putting food in the garbage.
Don't feed wild animals; feeding them is illegal. (Section 251.3 CA Code of Regulations) The maximum penalty is a $1,000 fine and a year in jail. Contact NPOA at 530-562-0322 or Northstar Public Safety at 530-562-2259 if you see violations that are drawing bears into your neighborhood.

The Northstar Property Owners Association (NPOA) is located in the heart of the Northstar-at-Tahoe® Resort. NPOA is the original master association at Northstar and consists of 1,480 members: 808 Single Family residential homes and five Condo Associations that includes 672 units. NPOA is a year round resort community that is minutes from historic downtown Truckee, the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and a short drive to Reno, Nevada.
