SUMMERTIME ACTIVITIES

Our Activities Calendar is filling up with lots of fun for the summertime. Daily, starting June 13th, we will have aquatic games, arts or crafts, organized games, tie dye, hikes and field trips. On Fridays and Saturdays the ever-popular BINGO will be held and open to all ages! Tours to Northstar’s Fire Station will be conducted weekly; exact days and times will be announced later.

Painted Rock Pottery will be joining us again this summer where you will be able to paint your own pottery, anything from light switch plates to picture frames to large bowls and more, then your pottery is taken back to the Painted Rock shop and fire-glazed. This will be the fourth summer Painted Rock Pottery has provided this activity for our homeowners and guests and it is very popular. Reservation sheets are at the Entry Desk for each Thursday’s sign up…get your name in early!

The Villager Candle Shop will also be back by popular demand along with additional new activities for kids and families.

We are looking forward to a fun-filled summer at the Recreation Center and hope you all have an opportunity to join us!

POTTY BREAKS!
An event returning for its fourth summer at the pool is the hourly “potty break”. Also known as “adult swim”, it is time to recognize the true benefit provided by this time away from the water. Lifeguards will be signaling this break once per hour for a period of ten minutes. Staff is asking for your help in seeing that your children make use of this time for the afore mentioned purpose. An “accident” in a pool or spa requires that the facility so affected to be closed for a 24-hour period. On a hot day, this constitutes a huge inconvenience for everyone wishing to use the facility. Please be considerate of everyone’s desire to use the pools, prevent “accidents”, have your young swimmers use the restroom each break.
